Vanessa Feltz has told friends her life is 'out of control' after paying £1.5 million in a divorce settlement to the surgeon husband who cheated on her.
Orthopaedic consultant Michael Kurer has already received £500,000 from the former daytime TV host.
A £1million second instalment is imminent and she is terrified that she will be forced to sell her £2.5 million mansion in North London to pay him off.
It is the latest blow for Feltz, 39, whose £2 million BBC contract was not renewed last year.
Her only regular income is from a couple of newspaper and magazine columns and sales of her exercise video. But two years ago she was earning up to ten times Kurer's NHS salary.
Feltz told a friend : 'My life is out of control. I've lost my most lucrative contracts and now I could lose the home I love.'
Feltz's agent, Graham Shear, said she had no plans to put her house on the market and claimed the figure of £1.5 million was 'inaccurate'. He added that Feltz had a number of projects in the pipeline.
