2011 BET Awards: Clarence Clemons, Nate Dogg and M-Bone Remembered

2011 BET Awards: Clarence Clemons, Nate Dogg and M-Bone Remembered, The BET Awards 2011 honored the living legend Patti LaBelle, who received the Lifetime Achievement Award at the June 26 broadcast – but behind many musicians were also honored.

Snoop Dogg and Warren G took the stage to put all the blacks who performed individual Nate Dogg, “Regulate”. Dogg, died suddenly in March, due to complications from multiple strokes.

The E Street Band Clarence Clemons, who died of a stroke earlier this month, was also remembered for his work as a soloist, a saxophonist during transmission.

Cali Swag District onstage by Doug E. Fresh commemorate the M-Bone, said: “We love you, bro.” The “Teach Me How to Dougie” the artist has died suddenly at only 22 years old to drive by shooting.

Also honored was Teena Marie, who was greeted by “one of the greatest soul singers,” while Queen Latifa seoul reading and jazz poet Gil Scott-Heron “The Revolution Will Not Be Televised.”

Chris Brown proved to be the winner of the evening, winning four awards including Best R & B Artist and Viewers Choice. The show was hosted by comedian Kevin Hart.
